This simply is the best surf app on iPhone. Clean UI, tons of content, all available offline, so no roaming costs.
Sparse on content. For The entire state of Hawaii only 14 south shore spots listed. No mention of the north shore? And for "Indian Ocean" only area is the Maldives. No Bali, No Java, no other areas in Indian Ocean than the Maldives? Massive updates needed.
This has got to be the worst app i have bought! The graphics are awesome the location info is good and it is all viewable offline! When i bought this app i realized i would loose some local spots for an international surf guide... but i had no idea that there would be literally no north American spots! If you plane on surfing and using this thing as any type of guide you mine as well spend your 5 bucks on a magazine! The only surf spots in this App our the spots you read about in a surf mag... and not even all of those! South America only has two regions in Peru! Out of 30,000 + miles of coast line in South America and thats all you get! 13,000 miles of coastline in North america and the only spots you get are a fraction of South California! I dont understand... there is a series of books (surf atlas) buy Stormrider invest in one of those for the region you want to surf and dont bother with this piece of crap! This thing would seriously need ten times more content to be a valid tool for anybody to use! Please understand i didnt expect this to have every nook and cranny covered but these App has Literally nothing! Is there a way to get my money back from these apps? I would rather buy a taco!
New update includes North America! Great app... Tons of useful info about spots without giving away too many "secrets". I bought this for $5 as an introductory price. The developers said the cost would go up as they start to release updates with more and more regions. I noticed its now up to $8. Still worth it. The North America book they put out is $30!
Love this App! Great information on surf spots, forecast, and tides. Love it and they are updating the locations fast. Glad I purchased it on the first version and got a great deal! Keep up the Great work guys and adding those spots!
